I have Flipmac WMV Quicktime player 7.5.5 and WMP series 9, yet if I want to play a video in WMV3 format it runs as a series of freezeframes. Any clues?

WMV1 seems to run OK - I think, although it's sometime since I looked at that format.

What's WMV3? F4M supports: WMV 7, 8, and 9, ISO MPEG 4 standard (versions 1.0 and 1.1), Microsoft MPEG 4 (versions 2 and 3), and Microsoft Motion JPEG.

Also...I found WMP to be a bad thing to have installed...not supported on Macs for a long time, and it's caused me conflict probs.

I also wound's recommend to have WMP in your Mac. Try downloading this. Very very useful for many people! Actually, for everyone!

Thanks folks. I often see a code WMV1 or WMV3 under a video clip. 1 works OK, 3 often freeze frames.

How the hell do I get rid of WMP? You can't just trash it.

Will take a look at Perian, thanks

Why can't you trash it? Have you tried with an app like apptrap or appzap?

Thanks, but I mean uninstall WMP. It seems I can't get rid of it in trash.

I haven't a clue about those app things, I am not a techie person, but do need help on it.
