I got a DVD with two 720p WMV HD trailers. It's impossible to play it on my Rev. B 12" PB, it seems as if the PBs is way to slow for it. I also tried the same trailer on a IBM Thinkpad 1.8 GHz P4m CPU with a Radeon 7500 with only 16 MB of VRAM (vs. GeForce 5200 w/ 32 MB of VRAM on the PB!) and a slower optical drive. Guess what: It played well on the Thinkpad (also running WMP 9)! You would think that hardware wise, the Thinkpad is more or less equally powerful as the 12" (the IBM being one year older, too). So could it be that Windows Media Player for Mac is so much worse than the Win XP version? Any ideas?

Trust me quicktime HD format will work much better on mac than windows... maybe try use videolan and see if it works better?

Unfortunately, VLC can't decode WMV HD neither can MPlayer 2. Let's hope that QT HD becomes the industry standard and not WMV HD
