Can I do an upgrade from Leopard to Snow X Via an external hard-drive? So can I load a business license of Snow X on to an external HD, boot to the notebook that is about to be upgraded on the external HD, and upgrade to snow x?

Can I also do an upgrade of these machines via ARD. I need to save data from these machines so we thought we would have to individually install snow on each one, one at a time.

Any tips or suggestions on doing so?
