Since the newest iOS updates give the iPhone the ability to have a Personal Hotspot and thus create a wifi network, theoretically, if you only had a 3G network for your iPhone, and a Wifi-only iPad, could you use your data plan with your iphone to transmit a wifi network which you could then use with your iPad, having wifi and FaceTime access wherever you may go....? Thoughts?

Yes, that is what i do.

I was thinking about getting a 3G iPad, but i really dont need it since i have the iphone 4 and unlimited data.

Works great!
