Wondering if I should install the public beta of iPadOS 16 or wait until it is released? Are there many issues with beta 2?

if you have M1 based ipad, then you may still enjoy the newer multi-tasking features and connectivity to external monitor. For non M1 based, there is just NOTHING exciting except the weather app ;o)

On the iPad, iPadOS 16 feels more like a 15.7 update. There's nothing really new except some tweaks here and there and for M1 iPad, the new stage manager isn't really useful if you don't plan to use it on external monitor. Personally I much prefer the "normal" iPad multi-tasking so I just go back to 15.6 and will just waiting for the final release because the beta don't give me anything worth it VS the bugs I have to deal with.

Oh and even the weather app is buggy with wrong current/next days degree predictions compared to iOS 15 app or local weather websites so..

I installed on my M1 12.9 Pro and really was nothing very exciting to iOS 16. The weather app was the best update. As mentioned above, stage manager is not worth it. Disappointing upgrade so far.

Installed the iPadOS 16 beta yesterday afternoon, so far work’s very good on my 10.5 iPad Pro. Don’t really see a difference between iPadOS 15 and iPadOS 16 though.

The weather app is cool. Hopefully it doesn’t give severe warnings for storms moving away from my location like the iPhone has been doing lately in chicago.
