Here is a good one for you all. Working on a damaged late 2007 Macbook Pro and it has the following symptoms.
1. Boots fine on battery power.
2. Will not boot when plugged into power but does charge battery.
3. Will shut down (hard) if I plug it into power once booted.
4. Will boot fine when plugged in IF I boot into 1GHZ mode by holding the power button until the long tone on bootup.
Everything I have found by search describes Macbooks that can only boot on power and not on battery so this is a very strange set of symptoms. Any ideas?
