Won’t get watch notifications if I have passcode?

Hi so i have the watch series 4. I placed a passcode on it. I read on google search that if I have a passcode I won’t get message notifications? Is that true?

Is there anyway I can keep passcode and get messages notifications? Thanks!

Not true. You put the watch on, enter the passcode, and it stays unlocked until you take the watch off.

So why am I not receiving my messages notifications on my watch 4? (iphone messages, and whatsapp) ? :-(

My iphone is locked and not in use.

Do you have Notifications to mirror the iPhone in the Watch app settings on iPhone?

Hmm so I read notifications only appear if you are wearing the watch and it's unlocked. Is that correct?

I do have mirror the iphone in the message settings yes.
