Won't move mail to trash

I have been using hotmail with my iPhone for years. Today, it won't move a piece of mail from my inbox to the trash. That same mail is in the trash if I go to hotmail on my computer. Any ideas?

I can't find the mail on the web. Its like I deleted it and then it was deleted from the trash. Its gone!
