Won't tell me where I downloaded images

I download a lot of gifs and jpgs from the internet to use on my blog later, and what helped was clicking "Get Info" on each image, finding the url of where I got it from online, and simply copying and pasting that to whatever my blog is. Recently, my iMac has stopped doing that. It now only says where it is on my computer. The only thing I can think of that changed was me turning off index?
