Hey all, just picked up a 30" by 72" desk from craigslist. It's perfect dimensions, and height adjustable, but the tabletop itself is a bland, cubicle-city grey speckle. I really like the look of the following desks:

Any suggestions on basically giant stickers that would give the look of the above? I understand I won't get the wood texture or quality, but at least can warm up the office with a wood look.

Thanks!

You can buy wood veneer sheets (they actually roll them up) and adhere it to the desktop. The tricky part, of course, is the edge. I did this to half of a dinette table that is circular, and the edge is rounded, already veneered. Sanded down to the pressed wood and applied the veneer. Stain matches pretty well, but the wood grain pattern is quite different. Put the leaf in, and nobody seems to notice.

I've been searching the internet quite a bit for these - where would you recommend buying one from?

Well, I haven't bought that product in many years. In fact, I got it at a Builder's Square, now out of business. I'd check at any of the "big box" home improvement stores. So you can't find it doing a web search?

Haven't found anything thus far that looks remotely reputable I guess. Perhaps stopping into Lowes will yield better results?
