Woot today has brought back its sale on Apple Watch Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop bands, but with a twist. This time, when you buy any Solo Loop or Braided Solo Loop at a discount on Woot, you'll get up to two extra bands for free.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Woot. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

The way it works is when you purchase any Solo Loop band for the discounted price of $19.99 ($29 off), you will get two additional Solo Loop bands for free. When you purchase any Braided Solo Loop for the discounted price of $29.99 ($69 off), you will get one additional Braided Solo Loop band for free.

The catch here is that you won't be able to pick out the color of the bands. You start by selecting the size of the band and Apple Watch model, then Woot will randomly select three Solo Loop bands or two Braided Solo Loop bands to send to you.

Woot guarantees that each band will be a unique color and there will be no duplicate colors in each box. These are also in new condition and come individually packaged in their original Apple retail packaging, as well as with a one year Apple manufacturer limited warranty.

Although there's a bit of risk at play in Woot's new sale, these are massive discounts on the Apple Watch bands, and it's a great way to expand your band collection and try out new colors. This sale will run through April 25 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time.

Am I reading this right, that you pick the color of one band that you want, and Woot picks the color of the free band(s)? this is what the Macrumors write-up seems to indicate.

Woot's write-up makes it sound like you don't actually choose any colors, and that all the bands you recieve will be a mystery. This isn't good for me since you could end up with 0 bands that I'd actually like.

This sounds fine as long as I get the one band color that I choose. I am open to "luck of the draw" on the free bands.

All the colors are random. The plain Solo Loop seems like a better option, since you'll get 3 random colors so the odds of hating all of them is much lower.

Thanks for the clarification. Macrumors really needs to change their write-up. It is very misleading, at best.

Macrumors: "The way it works is when you purchase any Solo Loop band for the discounted price of..."
We don't buy "any" Solo Loop. We are paying for a "Mystery" Solo Loop, then get more free. We apparently don't get to pick "any" solo loops. SMH...

Better off paying half as much for an offbrand but the color you want from Amazon. Woot has been trying to unload their massive stock of these bands for months now, but I guess we have to give them props for at least being creative with this attempt.

When I check their site is says buy one get one free, not two.
The three-band option is only available for the 'Solo' Loop bands, not the 'Braided' Loop bands. I had to double-check when the article was published. I do agree that the article could have been worded better to avoid confusion.

It is mentioned under the "Features" tab - I took a screenshot of it.
Under Step 3 - It mentions that three loop bands will be sent out.

It probably would have been more appealing if you were to choose one of the three colors, but with all 3 bands randomly selected for you and knowing that Woot has been trying to off-load these for the past 6 months, you know very well what's in store, you'll open the envelope and there you have it: 3 hideous colors hand-picked for you. Stuff no one will take as a gift is now yours for $29.99 and free shipping ! What a deal....

they're just trying to get rid of their remaining stock from previous sales. if I recall the only colors left were the black/beige and bright colors

Yeah, mostly beige and pink were leftover from previous sales. This is surely just to clear out the colors no one wants. The previous sales were good, but this one is a skip

Maybe I'm overly cynical, but I assume this means the next Apple Watch will have a different strap configuration...

Nah...

That’s my feeling too. Every time woot has one of these sales it’s always pretty bad colors left by the end. This is definitely just to clear out what people don’t want.

Yeah, this is the right take. I bought a couple bands a round or two back, and I had to go well down my preference list to get something in the right size. Totally worth it then, but these are 2-3 bands in colors very few would buy at 70 percent off given multiple changes to do so.
