RE new MacBookPro/Office 2008: Word will not launch, get error message loop. It worked for two months just fine. I downloaded updates from Microsoft and Apple, still no action. Problem may be tied to use of Project Gallery where a big pile of work awaits me. Can not get to it with Time Machine either - get the same message. Thoughts here?

You haven't given enough details for anyone here to be able to help out.

So I suggest one of two things:

1. Call tech support. If you bought Office 2008, you have three free calls to tech support. They'll be able to walk you through everything. Information about how to contact tech support is available here -- click on the "contact a support professional" link on the right page, where it will ask you what country you live in and some other questions.

2. Try the official public forum for Word:Mac to see if someone there can help you out. Lots of Word experts hang out there and help people who have problems. You'll need to post lots of details about what you're seeing and what you did immediately before Word stopped working.

Regards,
Nadyne.
