Word 2004 locking up

Recently I encountered an error when trying to open Word. It locks up and
when I force quit the message "DVD to IPod converter unresponsive". WTF is that mean? I did a restore from time machine to microsoft office on a date I know was working. Still the same error. Any suggestions?
