My company, in their wisdom, has switched us all to Word 2008. Grumble. I find that it won't recognize fonts that are active in the system upon startup. Times New Roman, for instance - isn't recognized by Word 08 on startup. I have to shut down Word, open my font management software (Linotype FontExploerer X), then deactivate and reactivate the fonts in question. Then, when I open Word again, it recognizes them.

This isn't handy when dealing with hundreds of files a day that need to be font accurate. Is there any known method of getting Word 08 to recognize the fonts already active in the system?

Thanks!

Andrea
