Hi there,

I was having troubles adjusting line spacing in Word 2008 for Mac and followed the advice reprinted below: essentially i tried replacing the 'normal' template.

Now, Word won't open at all! It just says "Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close."

I need your help - fast!

Thanks,
Julian

I ran into a problem where it wouldn't let me open and modify the Normal.dotm template. If you run into this, just open a new document, format it the way you want, and then save it to the desktop as "Normal.dotm." Quit MS Word and then move the newly created template file to:

User's Home Folder/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates

Click "Okay" to confirm the replacement and you should be good to go.
