Somewhere over the rainbow
I'm turning in my thesis in a few days, and the bottom margin in Word 2011 is giving me problems. I've got all my margins set at 2.5 cm, but the cut-off point for the bottom line of text on each page isn't consistent.

I've checked to see if there are any unintended page or section breaks, but that's not the issue. I simply can't figure it out.

Here are a couple examples of how the pages look at the bottom (click on them to get a larger version). This one shows a large space (as you can see, the first line of the next page is simply running text):

This one shows a very small gap:

Ideally, I'd like something in between. But the bottom line is that I'd like it to be uniform. :(

This isn't a huge deal, but I've put my heart and soul into this thesis, and I don't want it to look sloppy. I've read the help files, messed around with it, and googled, but can't seem to solve this.

Any help is HUGELY appreciated!
