Word 2011 help. Document disappeared.

I wrote and saved a piece that I was working on, and now it's totally gone. I did not delete it, and it does not show up in spotlight or my Word recent documents. Can any one help me and possibly tell me what happened here? I saved and closed it, and now it's like it never existed.

This just happened to me, too. I saved a doc in Word and now it's gone from the directory and gone from the "recent items" menu in word. Any ideas, anyone?
