Word 2011 won't let me save new documents.

Hi everyone,

MW2011 for Mac won't let me save new documents anymore - it was fine yesterday, and it will still let me save documents that are already saved. Nothing happens when I try saving documents. It seems like it saved but then it will stay untitled (i.e. Document 1) and when I try to exit out of the document, it will still ask me if I would like to save the document. I've tried both "saving" and "saving as".

I read on some threads to run Repair through Office Setup but I can't open it - it just closes immediately after I open it.

The version I have is Mac OS X 10.5.8. I have 50 GB of memory left on my computer.

Similar problem...

I have the same kind of problem. It won't save, and it gives no error messages. I've contacted microsoft, both through forums and support, and the only thing I could contribute with is that when you save the document it is saved for a split second as a .tmp file before it disappears.
