Word Completion App?

Are there any word completion apps available?

I know about Mac OS's built in Option+Esc word complete feature, but that takes more time than just tying the entire word out. I'm looking for something like OpenOffice's feature, where it automatically completes the word as you type.

Does any program like that exist?

I was going to suggest openoffice before I saw your post....

why not go download openoffice?!

I can't really think of any software that does it out-of-the-box.

I was going to suggest those, but as I said: they don't do it out of the box.

You have to manually add abbreviations / shortcuts which would take a lifetime, whereas the Openoffice system can guess what you're going to type straight away - predictive text style.
