Word Count in Pages?

Simple Question: How do I do a word count in Pages?

As of Pages '09 it also shows at the lower left-hand corner of the window.

Is there any way of having a word count in the header or footer?

To just count certain areas of text you just need to use the inspector as mentioned above and then just select the area you want to count. Whether that's the headers & footers or the main body of text etc.

Oh and thanks to those who posted this up I was looking for this for a while!
