Word frequency counter for web pages

Hello,

Does anyone know how to automate word frequency counting on web pages?

For example, I want to analyze the words that appear on a given site (i.e. the number of times "iraq" appears in an issue of newyorker.com).

Does software exist for this kind of task, or would it have to be scripted? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
