I think I'm chasing a ghost here but can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the -cell- height (not row) in a word for mac table?

I'm trying to create a table with for vertical columns and six horizontal rows. Some of the cells in the vertical columns are larger than the adjacent ones in the column. Id like to tighten them up so there's not a lot of white space in some columns.

If I can't do it in Word, can anyone suggest software that might help with this?

  1. Select the Table/Table Properties... menu item.
  2. Highlight the row(s) that you want to modify.
  3. Check Specify Height.
  4. Enter your desired height.
  5. Click [OK].
