Word launches at start up

This isn't a problem so much as an annoyance. Every time I restart both my iMac and MBP Microsoft Word launches automatically. This slows down the start-up process, and I have to shut down Word again every time this happens. It's a real PITA. Anyone know what the heck is going on?

System Preferences > Accounts > your account > Login Items

Go to

System Preferences --> Accounts --> 'Your Account Name' e.g. Bob, Frank, Chris w.e. --> Login In items --> Click on MS Word --> Click the '-' button in the bottom left corner of the box.

This should do the trick.
