Word:Mac floating section tabs?

When I open up a Wordmac student edition) document in notebook layout everything works normally except for one thing. When I go to minimize the window, the section tabs on the right of document don't minimize with the window. They float on my desktop. Does anyone else have this problem? How can I fix it?

Sounds like a possible memory issue - maybe not enough to manage.

Its been doing it ever since I've bought it (about a year ago). So, i've restarted my computer several times in the course of a year.

i have 1.5 GB of RAM and 1.67 GHz G4...

I wish it was that simple though ...

That's the same computer I have, except that I have 2g of RAM. I haven't had this problem, however. Are there any other issues with your Microsoft Office products? Have you installed all of the MS Office updates? You can check for updates from any MS program under the Help drop down menu. I think we're at 11.3.3
