WordPress.com and .org are made by the same folks.
They have a great looking interface (end user and admin) and a vibrant developer community. Work great, no complaints!

I use blogger as you don't have to install software and ftp is easier to my host. My host asks me to pay more to use wordpress...
I have found it very easy to use although sorting out my RSS was a bit of a pain.
Also you can use html rather than learning wordpress.
Wordpress is very nice though - SO many people use it.
