Words with Friends crazy sound started today

I have been playing Words with Friends for months now on my iPhone 4 but starting today I now get a crazy song being played while I am in the game. If I exit the game the song stops. Anyone else notice this?

Me too. It's one of the ads, and it plays even if your phone is on silent. So annoying.

"Dings" during Words With Friends

How do I make the random "dings" stop during Words With Friends? I even bought the 99 cent ap so as to avoid the ads. The ding doesn't seem to be associated with notifications of any time (i.e., hey, it's your turn, or a message from a friendly opponent). UGH - MAKE THE DINGS STOP, PLEASE!
