Workaround for “Hey Siri, Speak Screen” Bug with Apple Intelligence Enabled (iOS 26, iPhone 17 Pro Max):
After enabling Apple Intelligence, I noticed that the “Hey Siri, Speak Screen” command stopped working—it would just say “Sorry, there is nothing to read here,” even when content was clearly visible. I found a workaround by assigning the Action Button to “Speak Screen.” With this setup, pressing the Action Button successfully triggers screen narration, even while Apple Intelligence is active. Hopefully Apple addresses this bug soon, but in the meantime, this workaround restores functionality for those relying on spoken screen content.
