Workarounds for Maximize function

I thought another thread would be more easily searchable for future inquiries.

So in the other threads, we argued about which is the superior interface. I don't want any of that in this thread. Please no arguing about the feature, or claiming one way is better than another way.

I just want this thread to be about solutions to the maximize function so that future users have a good resource for their needs.

So if you have a solution to change the green + symbol into a maximize button (like in windows) please post it here.
