I recently purchased an iMac Pro that I wanted to have running with my Dell 5K and old Apple 30" Cinema Display.

I know there have been some issues for people getting the old 30" working properly on new USB-C only computers, and wanted to share my experience of what works.

You need:

- Apples Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter: https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/product/MB571LL/A/mini-displayport-to-dual-link-dvi-adapter

- All Smart Life's USB-C to Mini DisplayPort Adapter:
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0...f-7208-4015-aef8-4c8147b8435b&pf_rd_i=desktop

The All Smart Life's adapter was a pain to plug in, and I was worried I was going to break the port; after wiggling and trying all the different ports I found one where it would fully insert. Then BAM! A working 30" Apple Cinema Display on a 2017 machine.
