Hey fellas, now this is for the knowledgeable. I REALLY NEED HELP ON THIS CAUSE I DON'T WANT TO F&*K THINGS UP. FOR REAL!!

Okay, IM working on my artist project on the new macbook which i have installed on it pro tools 8. ofcourse they don't have firewire so i've been using my my Lacie hard drive which by reading through some of the threads, that it's not recommended or supported by digidesign to use usb 2.0 to work with our pro tools data. Consequently, I used it and now it has begun to give me an error message saying that i have to save my stuff some where else and reformat my drive. so what i've done now is take my files and copied them to the desktop. oRIGINALLY I WAS WORKING ON THE HARDDRIVE. so now that i have edited all the songs and did whatever i had to do with the files i was tryingn to put them back on the drive. But it won't let me. It said that i can't write over the files or something like that.!

So now my question is what now - are all my files together on the internal harddrive or are they between the external and the internal harddrive since I only made a copy of the folder. IM so lost right now and i really need some help seriously...
