Quick question and I apologize if it's been mentioned elsewhere...

how is everyone measuring their workout (specifically weight training) with their apple watch. I would assume "other" inside the workout app? Is that correct or is there a more efficient way to track this type of workout?

"Other" for weight lifting. You can even see it in one of Apple's Guided Tours how the guy selects other for weight training/no cardio.

When tracking during weight training, are you letting the session run throughout your entire weight lift work out? This includes the time between sets and time spent waiting for a machine etc.

Yes (although my time between sets is rarely over 3 minutes).
