Hiya guys

My powerbook is dying, a cd is wedged in there, it takes years to get started, burns up and has started shutting itself down now and then, cant complain for so many years of loyal service.

Im torn between laptop and desktop.

I do work in my office (laptop hooked upto screen), and try to do all my work there, but end up taking the laptop home, and its great to have all my files / music in one place

I can help think of the 27" imac. More or less the same price as a decent 15" macbook pro. When I do need to do any work or show clients designs /websites I could use an ipad? - and could take any important files home to use on the home pc via an external drive /mobile me?

Any thoughts on the subject most welcome, not sure which way to head. If I did get the imac, I suppose I could always use the good old macbook pro (once wiped and started from scratch?)

Sorry for the ramble?
