Working towards an iMac.. advice please

Hello all, I need to replace my PC and find the iMac a very appealing option. (I just wish they'd announced new models at MacWorld)

Never having used a mac before (aside from a brief play in the store)..

I'm curious to get some feedback regarding how the iMac handles Windows software (specifically games).. Reading around various forums it seems a common complaint that the macs are not great for gaming. I don't need to play the absolutely latest games that seem to require a V8 engine in order to run.

Appreciate any feedback, particularly from those that have already converted from PC.

the imac can be configured with an ati hd2400, 2600 or nvidea 8800gs

yeah,macs play great via xp or vista and even on osx.but there are alot more for pc. but you might wonnna wait for newr imacs to come out. look at the gpu in teh current models,they are old and slow now lol. at least the new imacs will have and intergrated gpu and a dedicated one,only going buy wot the macbook pros have tho.
