ok... i've got this question.
so, i have been working with .avi files in final cut express 4 in the past few weeks. In the past few days when i was making my vids with avi files, the clips in canvas was "Dropping Frames." I tried exporting it out to an .mov file, but it was just like how laggy it was in the canvas. I had this website from apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1165 but it didnt help...
so, i called apple canada and they told me that FCE 4 doesnt support avi files.... i dont know why i worked with it and it all works... apple also told me to to convert it to DV format...
DV formats like really big... i used quicktime player to convert them..

can any one tell me how to actually work with AVI files in FCE 4?
