Prior to upgrading to WatchOS 6, my Apple Watch Series 4 would prompt me to start the Workout app when it detected I was doing an outdoor walk. This worked so well, that I typically never pre-started it, and just let the watch remind me to start, and also remind me to stop.

After upgrade to WatchOS 6, the Workout app no longer reminds me to start it, even though setting is still on in Settings.

Something I need to do to get this functionality back working, or is this a known bug (didn't see any posts about it)?

Thanks!
