Has anyone else experienced the workout app not counting calories? For example, I start a strength training workout and it will show 0 active and 0 total calories burned, no matter how long the workout lasts for.

This sometimes fixes itself if I stop the workout once or twice and start a new one or if I reset the watch by holding down the Digital Crown and the Apple Pay button. The only thing is that I don't want to have to do this before each workout!

I am using a S3 and never experienced this on my S0.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Nope. Never experienced it. I've never counted my calories during a strength training workout anyways, just the other types like swimming, elliptical, walking, running, biking. It's always worked for those.

Seems like either a software issue with that particular workout - or hardware issue.

I have noticed that it can take from 13 to 19 minutes between each update of calories burned. (elliptical) I'm new to Apple Watch (3 series) so not exactly sure how often it should update but it's a pain. I was trying to improve on a previous calories burned target and overshot by some margin because the watch did not update.
