I have a strange issue where the live view of my cycling/walking workouts shows the distance I’ve achieved in KM. I have the units of measure set to Miles on both the watch and I’ve checked on the iPhone watch app to. When I end a workout it’s recorded in miles in fitness which is what I want but I don’t understand why the live view during a workout is always KM? Anybody have any ideas,

They changed it with the removal of force touch, this is the method if you’re still on watchOS 6 https://ioshacker.com/how-to/change-kilometers-to-miles-apple-watch-workout-activity

There's a new Workout units settings in watchOS7
From your watch: Settings app > Workout > Units of Measure ...
Do you have Km or Miles set there ?
Never mind my comment, this is the answer! :)

This has been driving me nuts all day on my Series 6.
I went out for a walk earlier today and it was showing the live workout view in KM (we tend to use miles in the UK) and also my calories as kcal (usually I see cal).

The weird thing is, I used my Series 5 yesterday on a workout and it showed miles. Yesterday evening I set my Series 6 up off of a backup, and when I went out today on my walk, it decided to show my distance in KM.

Weird thing is. When I followed the instructions from post #2, my units of measurement were already set to miles and also my energy units were set on calories.

What I did to solve it was, I changed the unit of measurement to km and then changed it back to miles. And I done the same with changing calories to kilocalories and then back. Problem was solved :)
