iPod touch Works world wide but not on my home Wi-fi

I have an iPod touch 16GB.
I can connect to wi-fi at friends and family and world wide by just entering
the relavent security code and I could connect to my home system until I installed a Tiscali Siemens Gigaset SE587 Router. I have tried all
I know but just can't get on line. My laptop works fine on the router but not
the touch. Tiscali are very evasive and say they can't help with Apple products.
Before I tell Tiscali what to do with their Broadband service, has anyone had
a similar experience and can offer some help.

Have you already tried the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398? If you can reconfigure the router to use WPA/WPA2 security instead of WEP go ahead and do so.
