Currently have a MP with a 2600XT card but finding myself using Windows about 80% of the time. Use Maya, Digital Fusion Adobe etc so wondered about getting either a FireGL or Quadro card.
Haven't really got the the £££ for a new breed card but looking around, it seems the FireGL and Quadros from about 18 months ago are looking really good value.
I was thinking of this: FireGL 5600 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143825
and the quadro 1700 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141783
would i see much improvement with one of these cards? I deal with pretty big textures in maya and scenes pushing 1 million pixels.
