I've been checking around and while there are some apps for the World Cup they all seem to be more information-oriented. Are there any good apps that would give a live feed into the games? That would be very cool!

I don't know of any, but I'd be super interested in hearing about something like this. I was wondering if ESPN has a 360 app or something? I'll pay... I just need to watch those games :)

If you're in the UK, tvcatchup.com will give you live streams from all terrestrial broadcasters.

Thanks for this. I've just signed up and the quality on my iPad over WiFi and 3G is great, just what I needed! Now I can sit at work and watch all the matches shown on TV!

On a slight side issue, I tested the app over WiFi on the iPad and there was about a 10 second delay when compared with 'real' tv, although this does not bother me in the slightest :D
