It's a neat idea but I think its too expensive. Assuming you have 4 rooms, it is $200*4 = $800 + $200 (base station = $1,000 + $150 (iPad back case) = $1,150.
I'm sure with competition and better technology, this will come into greater production and have a drastic price drop.

Doesn't really seem any more convenient than having a wall charger.
