Hi guys,

I'm trying to add bluetooth to my G5 tower. I'm wondering if I can get away with using one of these-

They're only about $8 with shipping on Ebay... as opposed to the full G5 bluetooth kit, which is between $50-80 from what I can tell.

I have a USB 2.0 PCI card in the tower, so I don't mind using up one of the USB ports, if this bluetooth dongle works well enough.

Thanks very much for any comments. :D

I've never tested it on a G5 but I tried it on one of my hackintoshes and it detects but gets really hot. Not sure if its normal.

Thanks for your post. I'm not certain the dongle working with a hackintosh means it will work for other Mac products, but it's a good sign.

It gets pretty hot huh? It's amazing how hot Mac stuff gets while it's running...
