iPad World's thinnest tablet, iPad Air 2 or Dell Venue?

I am confused, Dell has already introduced their new venue 8 lineup, and its reported thickness is 6mm.

Why did Apple claim they are the world's thinnest on Thursday, with a 6.1mm thickness?

Its the thinnest tablet in its size class. The dell is 8" no? I think the nexus 7 is thin enough.
