I've never owned a "worldwide" phone before, so I apologize if this is a stupid question. What exactly does worldwide mean? Can I use it outside of the US without absurd roaming charges?

I'm going to the Bahamas in a few months and my college professors insist I need to be able to login during the week to update discussion boards. Will I be able to do this?

Roaming charges still apply, based on your carrier's plan. It just means it supports a much larger number of networks around the world, where some phones may only support North American networks or have limited overseas support.
