Worse Reception Than My 3g?

I had read that the iphone 4 is supposed to have better reception than the previous iphones. However, in my apartment my iphone 4 is regularly at 0 bars and often goes to searching. Sometimes it spikes to 3 bars, but usually when I look at it there are 0 bars. My iphone 3g would always have like 2 bars most of the time. Does anyone else have reception issues? This has nothing to do with holding the phone a certain way.

I have the exact same issue. I can hold mine anyway I wish, but in lower sign areas where my 3G continuously got 3 or so bars I am continuously searching on the iPhone 4.
