Animal rights activist legally changes name to KentuckyFriedCruelty.com

(AP) - NEW YORK-A 19-year-old animal rights activist has legally changed his name to KentuckyFriedCruelty.com.

Chris Garnett, youth outreach coordinator for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, said he changed his name in support of the group's anti-KFC campaign.

"People don't believe me at first when I tell them my name, but it never fails to spark a discussion," Garnett, er, KentuckyFriedCruelty.com, said in a statement. "Many vow to boycott KFC after I explain the company's indifference to cruelty to animals."...

Can't wait for the Rush of people changing their name to FordSucks.com, MicroSoftSucks.com, or god forbid MacRumors.com. :D

Imagine the wedding vows...

How romantic.

Wedding? Wedding?

Who would marry KFCruelty.com?
Wimminfürfoxes.com?

edit: I think I prefer peta.org (from Counterfit, below)

Or perhaps natural selection would save us from the potential issue ...

Tough crowd.

Not only is the kid courageous and insouciant, but he's going to get a ton of publciity for his cause, too.

If I were his father, I'd be proud.

Seems his parent refuse to call the kid KFC and call him Chris instead.

Probably would have been better to change his name to Virginia.

But a vegan naming himself after a chicken is a little odd, we sure don't want KT changing her name to McDonald'sCowGrinder.com

Or indeed, WhaleBento.com or SealPuppyShoes.com (we know she loves shoes)
But we don't know if she likes to go clubbing, but if she does a pair of SealPuppyShoes would be so apropos.

How about one of the guys in this article?
Father's Groups

He changed his name to Nevil Abolish Child Support and the Family Court. First name Nevil, last name Abolish Child Support and the Family Court.

I saw him interviewed on TV, the poor reporter had to keep saying his name - she was getting so irritated by the end.

I wonder if I could get into namesquatting, legally changing my name and the names of my family members to desirable ones and then suing people who try to "use" my name without my permission.

It is any more humane to raise the animal in a paradise, then chop their heads off and chop them to bits so we can eat them?

I never understood why people would care how an animal was raised if they were still willing to eat their flesh.

So this baby seal walks in to a club.. ba da bing...

Some animals are bred to be eaten, if i don't eat it someone else will... I am omnivorous like all humans are scientifically proven to be. If we weren't supposed to eat meat then why would *** (that higher being whatever you see "it" as. *word censored per the world being too overly politically correct*) make steaks, chicken, and pork taste so good...

Plus that last name would definitely be a matrimony killer.

Mr. and Mrs. Fried Cruelty booking the honeymoon suite sounds a little creepy.

Especially if you decide to do it in Louisville and tour the local attractions like the KFC HQ.

Edit: However Katie Fried Cruelty is a head turner. ;)

Interesting that the killer whale in the banner has its beady eyes on the seal.
Yum yum! Brekky-snack!
A true story:

A neighbor took down an old cottonwood (we think) tree (very unusual for our area, anyway) and they were splitting it up for firewood. A family friend, who is a sculptor, cried out that the wood was so good for carving, why were we letting them waste it -- so I hitched up a trailer to the car and rescued a ton (literally) of the trunk. Almost killed myself, moving and loading 200 and 300 lb rounds of wood.

So the sculptor has his wood, and a year later, at Christmas he comes over and with a great flourish unveils a 3 foot long carving. Now, this tree was quite amazing, it had a chocolate brown heartwood, and a cream coloured outer, and the sculptor had exploited this to carve a sea scene, with creamy waves, and a dark brown Orca arcing out of the water. Quite stunning.

The only thing is, he also carved a couple of seals, fleeing in panic from the killer whale, and the orca in the process of munching down on one of them....

:(

We thanked him profusely. The carving is displayed prominently and safely now in our back closet...
