I'm starting grad school this fall and plan to buy a MBP either when a new one's released or the iPod Touch offer ends, whichever comes first.

Now,if it looks like being a few weeks or more between my arrival in the US (late July) and the release, I could being over my current notebook (14" iBook G4/1.07GHz/512 MB/40GB) to use in the meantime, but then I'd have the inconvenience of carting it around with me on 4 flights over a three days period. Whether or not this is worth it to me will depend on how much I could get for it second hand.

Mac2Sell values it at $380, but I'm sure mine is worth less. Having run perfectly for four years, it is very well loved... the battery (second one) only holds about 45 mins of charge, the charger has been replaced with a generic Hong Kong one, the screen has a slight bright spot (not annoying and only noticeable if you look for it) and about half of the keys have had their letters worn off. The outside has some minor scratches but has been pretty well cared for.

So, what do you guys think? I would just give it to my mum as a present if it's worth less than about $250. Note I'm NOT trying to sell it! I just want an idea of the market value.
