Worth buying a refurbished macbook?

Hi,

I have had an 12" Powerbook G4 since 2003 and it is starting to die. With the recent update to macbooks the old refurbished ones are being sold off up to 32% cheaper in the UK.

What does everyone think about buying a refurbished one? Is it worth waiting till the new Montevina mac books come out and buy a refurished Penryn? What is the difference in speed between the Santa Rosa and Penryn?


Any comments would be appreciated.

If you really needed a new macbook, then the SR is the way to go as the difference in speed are small.

My guess is "none".

You may get 20 minutes more battery life, but I think I'd rather save a few hundred quid.
