Is it worth upgrading from beta 3 to beta 4? This means I'll have to let it sync all my apps, music, videos, and other data and reset all my settings and what not. Worth it?

Yes, it seems to be a vast improvement even over beta 3. It seems quicker and less quirky. The first things I noticed were better network connectivity and google app works for me again.

Some/most of the incompatible apps won't be updated until near the public release so keep that in mind when deciding.

Are you a developer? You can answer your own question.

Of course not and so isn't 90% of the other people loading the beta on the phone.

Its an honest question regardless of his developer status.

I am a developer (at least in the development program) and I thought the same thing. We don't really need an attitude about people wondering about beta 4. This is a discussion forum and we're discussing.

I am sick of developers or people like you putting comments like this. Get over it. Whoever wants to install can install as long as they have their UDID in the system.

Yes, install beta 4! It's running very smooth.

on iPhone 3G and all my apps work perfect, no lag, apps opening much quicker also.

So far so good

beta 1 = good
beta 2 = horrible, had to go back to 1
beta 3 = better
beta 4 = i think we may have 1 more beta before the final

I hope we get to beta test iPad 4.0 as well. I ordered a 32GB 3G

i concur on all counts.

I waited until b3 to install on my 3GS and that one was pretty stable. I installed b4 last night and it's even smoother. The only app I couldn't get to load was the Verizon FiOS DVR manager. Still learning my way around folders and such.. quite a bit to get used to cosmetically.
