Worth it to buy unsubsidized phone and use with Tmobile?

Anyone on Tmobile going to pick up an unsubsidized phone and get a updated sim card from tmobile to use with it? Just wondering if its worth hanging onto the current cheap tmobile plan instead of switching over to ATT or Verizon.

iPhone 5 LTE won't work on T-mobile.
